At least one pressure sensor (316) is capable of sensing pressure quantitatively. The input device is operable within a hand of a user to transmit signals from the motion detector and the pressure sensor, without contacting a base, work surface or pad. 摘要： One embodiment of the invention is a cardiac monitor having a housing; a plurality of electrodes within and extending from the housing; a state machine within the housing configured to digitialize and store in memory signals from the plurality of electrodes; a sealing surface and an adhesive on the sealing surface configured to form a watertight perimeter around the plurality of electrodes when the housing is affixed to a mammal. Another embodiment of the invention provides a continuous cardiac monitor having a housing; a surface on the housing adapted to be sealably engaged to a mammal; an adhesive on the surface that is adapted to remain affixed to the mammal for at least 7 days; at least two electrodes within the housing positioned to detect a cardiac information of the mammal while the surface is sealably engaged to the mammal; an electronic memory within the housing wherein, the electronic memory is sized to store at least 24 hours of continuous cardiac information; and wiring within the housing connecting the electronic memory to the electrodes.

摘要： An outer mold half and a mold core define as part of the mold cavity an annular chamber portion for receiving molding compound to form an outwardly projecting, relatively thick annular section in the molded object. Stripper means push newly formed molded objects out of intimate contact with the mold core. The diameter of a portion of the mold core across which the annular section is pushed by the stripper means is less than the diameter of the mold core portion against which the annular section is formed. Accordingly, the cooling, freshly molded annular section can shrink inwardly and be drawn out of the annular chamber portion, for removal from the mold without the need of side action.

A cable guide for a winch drum comprises a carriage movable to and fro through an adjustable variable speed gear set according to the size of the cable being wound. In one example for a ship's winch having two winch drums 12, 13, Fig. 1, on a common shaft 14, the two carriages 22, 23 are moved by a common rack and pinion 27, 28 driven through a variable speed hydraulic drive comprising an hydraulic pump 35 with a variable output and driving a motor 31 connected to the pinion 28. The pump 35 is of the piston type with an adjustable tilt swash plate controlled by a handle 38. The pump 35 is driven from the drum shaft 14 through pinions 36, 37. Limit switches 39, 41 automatically reverse the flow at the end of each stroke of the carriage. In a modification the carriages 22, 23, Fig. 2, are driven independently by separate rack and pinion devices 27, 28, 42, 43 each having a separate variable speed hydraulic drives 31, 35, 45, 47. In this example the pumps 35, 47 are individually driven through pinions 36 engaging gear rings 36 on the drums. Pairs of limit switches 40, 41 and 39, 49 control the carriages independently so that one or other may be disconnected from the drive.
