摘要： A sports racket (1) having a protector strip (2) wound around the frame (3) thereof in a helical path is provided. The strip (2) is passed between the strings (5) of the racket (1 ) with each convolution thereof and is held in position by virtue of a set shape towards which a resilient or plastic memory type of characteristic of the materal of manufacture urges the strip (2). Preferably the set shape is a tubular helix of lesser diameter than that of the racket frame cross-section. The patent also embraces sports rackets protectors as articles of commerce.

摘要： Apparatus for separating oil and sludge comprises a cylindrical tank (1) leading into an elongate chamber (6) which contains a plurality of cones (7, 7') arranged at the top of the chamber (6). Pipes (8) leading out of the chamber (6) from the base of each pair of cones (7, 7'). Oil/sludge is pumped into the tank (1) where it spins in a vortex, separating the oil from the sludge. The sludge is removed from the bottom of the tank (1) and the oil rises from the centre of the vortex through a body of water, also spinning in a vortex, in the lower portion of the chamber (6) until it reaches the cones (7, 7'). The oil passes between the cones and out of the top of the chamber (6) via outlet pipe (11). As the oil passes between the cones (7, 7') any water present in the oil passes down the pipes (8), oil is prevented from passing down through the pipes (8) by the presence of water in the pipes (8).
