    • A combustion pipe (1) is designed as a cylindrical hollow body with a horizontal axis, and is provided with an inner chamber (2) which is supplied from a pre-mix gas nozzle, not illustrated, with entrainment of primary air. In the inner chamber (2) a combustion gas/primary air mixture is transported accordingly. Leading from the gas pipe which extends to the pre-mix nozzle is a branch pipe which leads to a secondary line (3) ending in distribution pipes (4) which are arranged in parallel on both sides of the effective combustion pipe but at a distance from and on the lower side of the latter. On the upper side (5) of these distribution tubes are outlet openings for combustion gas, which emerges upwardly with a wedge shape in a region (6) and thereby penetrates the region of the secondary air which is marked by arrows (7) and with which it mixes. In this way an oxygen-depleted mixture arrives in particular at the foot (8) of the main flame (9), said depletion being effected by the combustion gas itself.

    • Electric water heater comprising an accumulator (3) and an instantaneous water heater (5) having each electric heating resistances (21 to 23, 12 to 14), as well as a temperature regulator (11). In order to obtain a power control for the unit comprised of the accumulator and the instantaneous water heater, avoiding the transmission of parasitic pulses to the electric power supply network, the temperature regulator (11) switches to the accumulator (3) the portion of electric power which has not been used by the instantaneous water heater (5). It is thus possible to precisely dose the power to be provided to the instantaneous water heater (5), the portion of such power not absorbed by the instantaneous water heater being provided to the accumulator (3). This installation operates without feed-back for the power supply network. The invention may be used for the preparation of sanitary water.
