摘要： A device or insole for an item of footwear with a plantar surface 3 for engagement of a user's sole below the arch and heel, a joint 2 in use located at the user's metatarsal and phalange joints and an inclined end 1 arranged to engage the user's phalanges. The device is designed to lift the front part of a foot of a person affected by drop foot. The joint 2 deviates the surface into the end. The device is arranged to be worn in an item of footwear and the joint is arranged to deviate the item of footwear. The device may have footwear securement means which could comprise adhesive or hook and loop portions. The device may also have a textured surface 33, a toe cover, an adjustable joint, support below the end or a foot attachment mechanism, possibly comprising elastomer.

摘要： A device 99/999 (insole) for positioning under a wearers foot on the sole of an item of footwear in use, and an item of footwear incorporating the device, comprises the provision of a (i) a plantar surface 3 for engagement of a wearers sole below the arch and heel, (ii) a joint portion 2 extending from the plantar surface which lies under a wearers metatarsophalangeal joint in use and (iii) an upwardly inclined end 1 that extends from the joint portion, underneath and lifting the wearer's phalanges. At least the joint portion and end are substantially rigid such that the device lifts the wearer's phalanges continuously during a stride. The device may comprise footwear securement means (such as adhesive or hoop and look portions) and a textured upper or lower surface.

摘要： 710,356. Removing plastic bandages. KING, C. G. A., and NORRIS, R. J. July 7, 1952 [July 5, 1951], No. 15959/51. Class 81(2) A plaster bandage remover comprises an electrically driven chain saw. The motor M drives a sprocket 17 around which the saw 16 passes, the lower loop of the saw passing around a fixed guide member 18. The lower end of the saw is normally shielded by a slotted yoke 32 carried by tubular guide members 30, 31. Both guides 30, 31 are urged downwardly by coil springs 35, 36, guide 30 encloses a plunger rod 37, carrying a guiding foot 40, and guide 31 encloses a rod 49 carrying a presser member 51, both these latter rods being urged downwardly by springs 38, 50. In use, the guide 40 is inserted under the plaster with the presser member 51 on top, and a handle 42, pivoted at 43; is gripped so that, by means of an arm 44, engaging in a slot in rod 37, the whole mechanism is drawn downwards towards the guide 40. After the shield 32 has reached the top of the plaster the saw is projected downwards through the plaster until it reaches the guide 40. The whole appliance is then advanced to effect the desired cutting. Preferably the lower part 39 of. the rod 37 is of tapered cross-section to enable the appliance to be guided round curves if necessary. The guide member 40 is preferably covered with a layer of insulating material such as a synthetic resin.

A manifolding pad comprises a plurality of second sheets 10 bound together in book form, each having two superposed receipt sheets 11, 12 coated on their rear faces and subdivided by horizontal perforations 14 and vertical perforations 22 into separate slips 15 so that the slips can be secured adhesively to a corresponding series of record cards, transfer sheets 13 being disposed between sheets 11, 12 and 12, 10 so that written entries on a slip 15 on sheet 11 is duplicated below. The record sheets 10 have an extra column 17 and bottom row 18 for checking totals of entries and are joined to a stub 19 by perforations 20 for removal when used. Each slip 15 may be printed with appropriate markings such as "account number", "date" and so on. Record cards, to which the strips 15 are secured, are provided with division lines corresponding to perforations 14, 22 and appropriate markings such as referring to hire purchase payment, the rectangles being marked with the month.
