摘要： 473,228. Rain - covers for hats &c. McHALE, J. Feb. 12, 1937, No. 4279. [Class 63] A rain - cover for hats or caps has the under - brim or under - peak portion slit and provided with sliding-clasp fasteners for closing the slit. Preferably, the cover is of oiled silk of colour to match the hat or cap. The fasteners 11 may be at the back and front of the hat. The edge of the cover has a hem housing an elastic cord provided with a hook and an eye at its ends, which are secured together after the slits have been closed. A similar cord 23 may retain the cover in the longitudinal crease of a soft hat. In the case of a cap, the cover extends to the top of the sweat-band. being slit from the edge to near the top of the crown. From the lower edge of the sweat-band the slit is closed by a sliding clasp 33. The cover is pressed into the crease above the peak by an elastic cord 31a.

摘要： A gravity flush toilet system is provides that includes a toilet bowl assembly having a toilet bowl and a tank, wherein the bowl includes a trapway extending from the bottom of the toilet bowl to a sewage line. The toilet system is capable of operating at multiple flush volumes without loss of siphonic function or significant change in the surface area of the water in the bowl. The multiple flush volumes allow the user to select appropriate water usages for the required waste removal without diminishing the performance of the toilet, resulting in significant water savings.
