摘要： A reversible gerotor pump for a machine having a drive shaft is provided, the pump including a housing, an offset ring, and an inner and outer gear. The offset ring is disposed in the housing and includes a tab extending radially from an outer periphery. The outer periphery of the offset ring defines a first axis in common with the axis of a drive shaft. The inner periphery of the offset ring defines a second axis that is slightly offset from the second axis. The axis of the outer gear moves relative to the axis of the inner gear to allow pumping action in both rotational directions using the same suction and line cavities for both directions.

A dog clutch is connected to the first member and selectively connected to the second member. The dog clutch is in frictional engagement with the plate clutch when the plate clutch is engaged, and the dog clutch is connected to the second member prior to the transmitted torque exceeding the maximum torque capacity of the plate clutch.

The torque transmitting device selectively transmits a torque in a rotational direction between a first member and a second member. The second member includes a surface that defines an annular bore having a decreasing diameter in an axial direction. The second race opposes the first race and includes a surface that opposes the second member and has the decreasing diameter in the axial direction. The first race and the second race define a predetermined torque limit. The biasing element biases the second race against the second member with a predetermined force that contributes to a predetermined holding torque between the surface of the second race and the surface of the second member that is less than the predetermined torque limit.
