摘要： A battery-powered golf trolley comprises a wheeled trolley frame for supporting a golf bag, a motor (8) for driving the wheels of the trolley through a gearbox, a battery (2) for powering the motor (8) and hand-operated control means (4,6) between the battery (2) and the motor (8) for controlling the speed of forward movement of the trolley. On enforced rearward movement of the trolley, a reverse drive torque is electromagnetically induced in the motor (8) which brakes the wheels of the trolley. The trolley further includes switch means (10,12) actuation of which disconnects the control means (4,6) from the motor (8) and isolates the motor electrically such that, with said switch means (10,12) actuated and on enforced reverse movement of the trolley, the gearbox imposes a mechanical resistance to reverse rotation of the wheels of the trolley.

In a quick adjustment vice operated by rotating a screw coacting with a segmental nut, the nut is rockable about a transverse edge on the vice body into and out of engagement with the screw and has movement which is limited by surfaces on the nut engaging with surfaces on the vice body. The nut d is provided with projecting lugs d' and d', the undersurface of the lug d' bearing on the crosspiece e of the body and the upper surface of the lug d 2 engaging with the cross-piece f when the nut and screw a are in engagement. The nut d fulcrums about the edge of the cross-piece e and is swung into and out of engagement with the screw by a flat bar g carried eccentrically by an L-shaped handle h rotatable in a bearing j on the arm b. The bar g is supported between a ledge m 1 on a lug m attached to the nut d and a recess k 1 on the stalk k on the cross-piece f. A stop o, Fig. 2, prevents transverse movement of the nut to the right. The Provisional Specification describes a guard surface in the ram b to prevent bending of the screw.
