    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphorescent lighting apparatus 1 which minimizes power consumption and, moreover, can obtain sufficient illumination light by phosphorescence.SOLUTION: A phosphorescent lighting apparatus comprises: a light source part 2 provided with a light source 2-1 for emitting excitation light in the range of wavelength which excites phosphorescence in the proportion of 90% or more; a phosphorescence part 3 which accumulates phosphorescence when being irradiated with excitation light and radiates the accumulated phosphorescence as illumination light in the range of visible light; and a power source part 4 which supplies power to the light source 2-1 of the light source part 2. Therein, the power is supplied from the power source part 4 to the light source part 2, the excitation light is emitted, the phosphorescence part 3 is irradiated with the excitation light, thereby, the phosphorescence is accumulated on the phosphorescence part 3 and the accumulated phosphorescence is radiated as illumination light in the range of visible light.
