    • A combined igniter cap for electrical and nonelectrical ignition having an electrically conductive housing with a pole piece arranged therein. A first primer charge is arranged on a first side of the pole piece, and the pole piece being provided with a recess and a first communicating path through the pole piece between the recess and the first primer charge. A second ignition system is arranged in the recess and is ignitable from a second side of said pole piece which is disposed oppositely to the first side. An insulating element is disposed between the first side of said pole piece and the first primer charge and is provided with first and second electrical contact members having an electrical ignition bridge and/or gap formed therebetween. The electrical ignition bridge and/or gap faces the first primer charge and the first contact member is electrically conductively connected with the pole piece while the second contact member is electrically conductively connected with the housing. The insulating element is further provided with a second communicating path providing communication between the first communicating path and the first primer charge.

    • An impact sensitive ignition device with an amplifier charge including a housing having a bottom and side wall, the side wall having a shoulder. An igniter is disposed in the housing at the bottom thereof with an anvil positioned in the housing for cooperation with the igniter. The anvil has at least one aperture therethrough and is supported on the shoulder of the housing. A sleeve member is disposed above the anvil and has an open end with a flange thereat, the sleeve member being coupled to the housing at the flange thereof, and the amplifier charge is disposed in the sleeve member.

    • Apparatus for the thermal and electrical initiation of fire protection devices including a housing with a displaceable support member and an abutment member provided therein. A blocking or spacing device is disposed between the displaceable support member and the abutment member with the displaceable supports member being biased against said blocking device in the direction toward the abutment member. The blocking device is responsive to the exceeding of a predetermined temperature for enabling displacement of the displaceable support member for initiating a fire protection device. The abutment member is constructed as a plunger displaceable within the housing in the direction towards the displaceable support member, and an electrically actuatable compressed-gas-generating igniter device is disposed on the side of the plunger facing away from the blocking device for producing compressed gas to cause displacement of the plunger toward the blocking device.

    • Device for tensioning safety belts in vehicles in which one end of the safety belt is securable to the vehicle and the other end of the belt is securable to the tensioning device. The device includes a cylinder having a piston with a piston rod extending from one side of the piston out of the cylinder to which the safety belt is securable. The piston is provided with a recess receiving an electrically ignitable propellant charge cartridge such that upon ignition of the cartridge propellant gases are generated which flow into the cylinder at the piston rod side of the piston for causing the piston and piston rod to be displaced into the cylinder to effect a tensioning of the safety belt.
