    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet knife folding apparatus for upgrading a finish of a fold section having a folding nature at a folding position of a sheet given by using a pair of folding rollers and a knife. SOLUTION: In the case of forming a fold section by forcing a folding position of a sheet to a pair of folding rollers 2b by a knife 2a, a guide plate 4 for retaining leaves in which ends of the sheets are folded at inside is lowered in cooperation with the knife 2a. The plate 4 is fixed from both sides by holders 5a, 5b, and coupled by upper and lower shafts 6a, 6b of the plate and a coupler 7. A positioning bar 7a of the coupler 7 is restricted at a predetermined position by an electromagnetic solenoid 8. The upper and lower shafts of the knife 2a are connected to the coupler 7 via a spring member. The knife 2a retains the leaves by the plate 4 and lowers them toward the pair of rollers 2b even after stopping. And, the knife 2a rises independent of the pair of rollers 2b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveying device capable of reducing no printing efficiency and establishing a bookbinding system consistently carrying out a printing to a bookbinding at a low cost. SOLUTION: Between a printing machine 1 for conveying out printed paper sheets every one sheet in a order of page and a bookbinding machine 2 for conveying-in every one paper sheet and binding a book every time when the sheets accumulates for one copy of the book and then conveying-out it, a paper conveying belt 7 for conveying paper sheets 4 conveyed out from the printing machine 1 to the bookbinding machine 2 and a rotatable positioning roller 8 for pressing the paper sheets to the belt 7 are provided. The conveying belt 7 is temporarily stopped for a bookbinding process time of the bookbinding machine 2 every time of conveying a paper of the last page of one book and the paper sheets 4 for next copy of the book subsequently conveyed out from the printing machine 1 are abutted to the roller 8 and are accumulated on the conveying belt 7. After the bookbinding processing, the conveying belt 7 is driven to feed the paper sheets accumulated and the paper sheets for the book subsequently conveyed from the printing machine 1 to the bookbinding machine 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact bookbinding hard cover capable of simply adhering a back cardboard sheet and a cover cardboard sheet to the compact bookbinding hard cover and being beautifully finished. SOLUTION: The compact bookbinding hard cover 1 adheres a release sheet (tack sheet) by coating an adhesive material layer to an inside surface, and exposes the material layer when the release sheet is released. A part Pa surrounded in a rectangular shape by abcd is the release sheet of a part for adhering the cover cardboard sheet of the front side, A part Pb surrounded in a rectangular shape by abst is a back cardboard sheet and the release sheet of the part for adhering the cover cardboard of a rear side, and Pc, Pd, Pe, Pf and Pg are the release sheets. The front side cover cardboard, the back cardboard sheet and the rear side cover cardboard are adhered, and cut at its left end side at a predetermined position. The release sheets of Pc, Pd, Pe, Pf and Pg are released, their portions of the cardboard are bent to the inside, and the compact bookbinding hard cover is finished.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder for automatically discriminating boundaries of booklet bundles from paper bundles accumulated in a paper bundle accumulation section, and feeding a booklet bundle for one booklet portion to a binding machine. SOLUTION: A content printed on a first page 1a of a booklet bundle for one booklet is sensed and picked up by a sensing section 3 using a CCD or the like and an image signal is formed and input into a control device 7. The signal is processed by a signal processing section of the control device 7 and stored as a reference signal in a memory. The image signals of papers fed successively into the feeder are read by the sensing 3 and an output signal is input into the control device 7, and the input output signal is compared with the reference signal stored in the memory, and when both signals are in conformity with, it is judged as a boundary of the booklet bundles. At that time, the output signal is output into a control section 8 by the control device 7 to stop the paper feed rollers.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device improving the working efficiency by continuing the operations of a collator and a bookbinder even at the time when the defective paper feeding is sensed. SOLUTION: A paper bundle for one book is formed by collating papers P1-P10 fed from respective feed steps 2a-2j in the order of pages by a collator 1 and feed them to a bookbinder 10. The paper bundle is bound on the given position by a stitcher 15 of the bookbinder 10, and side stitch, saddle stitching and the like are carried out. A second feed line 25 is changed over to a third feed line 26 by a changeover gate plate 23 in compliance with the kind of jointing the paper bundle. The bound paper bundle is ejected onto a paper collecting tray 31. When defective paper feeding is sensed by sensors 4a-4j, the operation of the stitch 15 is discontinued by a control device 32, and an unbound paper bundle is ejected from the second feed line 25 onto the paper collecting tray 31 by the changeover gate plate 23.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the time required for cooling naturally paste adhered to the back face of a booklet by a carrying device when the booklet pasted by a binder is to be transferred on a bookbinding line. SOLUTION: Booklets 3 bookbinded by a book binding machine 1 are ejected out of an ejection section 2, and the direction of bookbinding blocks 3a formed of a number of booklets piled up by a bookbinding block forming device 5 is changed. Then the bookbinding blocks 3a lifted to a classifying device 14 by a lifter 6 are classified into two lines, a line A and a line B, placed on a two-line classified transfer conveyor 15 and transferred to a direction change device 10. Paste adhered to the backs of booklets is cooled naturally during the carrying time of the two-line carrying conveyor 15. Also the bookbinding blocks 3a are transferred to a three-way cutter 12 through a carrying-out conveyor 11, and three side faces other than a pattern section to which pastes adheres are cut finished and ejected to a stacking section 13.
