    • A generation of rust or electric corrosion between a rivet and a member is prevented by enhancing a degree of sealing between the rivet and the member.
      A first enlarged-diameter portion 16 and a second enlarged-diameter portion 20 are provided between a head part 12 and a leg part 14 of a rivet 10. A space portion 32 is formed among an upper layer workpiece 24, the first enlarged-diameter portion 16 and the second enlarged-diameter portion 20 in a state where the rivet 10 is driven into the upper layer workpiece 24 and a lower layer workpiece 26. Because of the existence of the space portion 32, the contact between the upper layer workpiece 24 and the first enlarged-diameter portion 16, and between the upper layer workpiece 24 and the second enlarged-diameter portion 20 can be secured. Therefore, the degree of sealing between the rivet 10 and the upper layer workpiece 24 is improved.
