SOLUTION: The connector includes a base member 16 having a plurality of bores 24. A plurality of first contact members 20 are positioned in the predetermined bores, and a plurality of second contact members 18 are arranged in other bores. A tail part of each contact member extends by a predetermined distance beyond the base member. By insertion of the tail part of the plurality of second contact members 18 into the bores of a circuit board 22, the tail parts of the plurality of first contact members 20 are sufficiently retained by the circuit board. SOLUTION: The electrical connector includes: a housing that is suitable for storing one portion of a printing circuit substrate; an electrical contact that is connected to the housing; and an electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield that is connected to the housing. The shield has transmission holes for passing a pair of the electrical connectors to a storing region of the housing. In addition, the shield has a spring finger section extending inside the transmission hole and a first arm extending from a rear end section of the shield. The arm is suitable for retaining the shield to the housing and for relatively retaining a printing circuit substrate to the housing.
