摘要： The face sheets and the core member of non-reinforced sandwich panels are subject to failure when a lateral force is centrally applied to one of its sides or edges. To obviate this defect a sandwich-type structural panel (10) is formed by a core (12) of insulating material having opposing skins or face surfaces (14-16) bonded to opposing planar sides of the core and defining rectangular recesses at each end of the panel. The panel is further characterized by elongated rigid stiffeners (24-26) extending coextensive with the thickness of the core material and its length between the encapsulating skins. The spacing of the stiffeners is such that a point load of a fixed amount centrally applied to either planer surface or longitudinal edge of the panel generates a load deflection ratio of 1:1 between the central portion of the panel and its respective edge, thus providing a balanced efficient panel.

A leg pole attachment assembly includes an exterior clamp bracket that forms an open-box with a c-shaped channel into which is disposed an interior swivel clamp. The interior swivel clamp has a base portion that swivels over a limited range of motion within the c-shaped channel and is affixed to a side portion of the exterior clamp bracket using a horizontally extending fastener. Opposing flanges of the swivel clamp extend around the leg pole and are interconnected using a second fastener that extends orthogonally to the first fastener.

摘要： A leg attachment assembly for a stilt device of the type used to support a user above a base surface. The leg attachment assembly has a curvilinearly extending leg band configured to partially surround an upper leg portion of a user's leg. The leg band is attached to a distal end of a support pole using a pair of spacers and associated fasteners. One or more strengthening ribs extend in a lateral direction between contact locations of the spacers. The strengthening ribs extend beyond the spacers to enhance rigidity of the leg band during use. A securement strap can be used to encircle the user's leg and the leg band to attach the stilt to the leg. The strap can be routed between the spacers and over the top surfaces of the strengthening ribs so that, when the strap is tensioned, the ribs prevent slippage or displacement of the strap.
