    • A multi-standby terminal and a method of providing a call waiting sound thereof eliminate the need for subscribing to a call-waiting service. The multi-standby terminal preferably includes: a first RF unit for forming a communication channel with a first terminal; a second RF unit for receiving a communication request from a second terminal; an audio processor for outputting a call connecting sound notifying that a communication request from the second terminal is received; an input unit including a function key for generating an another party change signal for changing to another party; a first controller for controlling, when the another party change signal is input, to set the first terminal to a call waiting state and to transmit preset call waiting sound to the first terminal through the first RF unit; and a second controller for controlling to perform communication with the second terminal through the second RF unit.

    • A multi-standby portable terminal reduces interference of the transmitting antenna by skewing electromagnetic waves of others antennas. The terminal includes: a plurality of communication modules for transmitting and receiving RF signals of different frequency bands to and from the plurality of RF communication networks; and a controller for controlling the plurality of communication modules so as to be coupled to an RF communication network selected by a user, via a communication module corresponding to the selected RF communication network. The controller performs a control operation such that the communication module corresponding to the selected RF communication network radiates electromagnetic waves corresponding to a frequency band of the selected RF communication network, and remaining communication modules radiate electromagnetic waves of frequency bands that differ from those of respective corresponding RF communication networks.

    • A mobile communication system has a multi-band antenna capable of receiving and processing signals of GPS, CDMA, and PCS bands. In the system, a GPS processing section receives a signal of a first frequency band, so as to generate global positioning information. A communication signal processing section receives signals of a second frequency band lower than the first frequency band and a third frequency band higher than the first frequency band, demodulates the received signals , while modulating signals to be transmitted of the second frequency band and the third frequency band and outputting the modulated signals. The multi-band antenna has a dual-pitch helical antenna which includes first and second helical coil portions having different pitches, so that the first and second helical coil portions have different impedances for the signals of the first to third frequency bands. A frequency band separator section connected between the multi-band antenna and the GPS processing section and communication processing section supplies the signal of the first frequency band to the GPS processing section while supplying the signals of the second and third frequency bands to the communication processing section.
