[Class 126] A domestic cooker is provided with a slotted plate rack supported by an inverted U-shaped tubular member so that it forms a back plate when in vertical position, a plate-supporting rod being mounted on the slotted back plate by inwardly directed deformations, the sides of the supporting frame having inwardly directed fixed pegs which may be selectively engaged by a pair of notched gravity catches which are interconnected by a manipulative wire rod and pivoted directly to the slotted back plate. Portions 11a of the rod 11 provided beneath the slotted rack 9 are held by deformations 9b in the side flanges 9a of the plate rack 9 and end portions 11b of the rod 11 form pivots about which the plate rack may be turned. The rack is held in horizontal or vertical position by gravity catches 12, the notches of which engage pegs 13 on the U-shaped tubular supporting member 8. A manipulative rod 14 connects the free ends of the gravity catches 12. Specification 646,169, [Group VI], is referred to.

    • 565,250. Cooking ovens. TURLEY & WILLIAMS, Ltd., SMITH, C. D., and OTTON, D. H. May 26, 1943, No. 8358. [Class 126] In a cooking oven having internal lining plates which are removable for cleaning, the side plates 4 are formed with inturned foot portions 5 resting on the bottom of the oven and serving to keep the plates vertical. In the case of an oven with side burners, the feet 5 are formed with slots 7 coinciding with the burner openings 10 in the oven bottom and are held against inward movement by engagement of the flanges 8, 9, Fig. 2 ; where a back burner is provided, as shown in Fig. 4, the feet 5a engage against inverted U -shaped strips 16 secured to the oven bottom. The side plates are provided with corrugations 17 to serve as shelf supports. A flanged back lining plate 2 is retained in position either by contact with the rear flanges 6 of the side plates 4, or by engagement of these flanges in grooves formed by inturning the side edges of the back plate. As shown in Fig. 4, the spaces between the lining plates and the oven walls may serve as flues for the passage of the waste gases to the outlet 15, the side plates 4a being provided with inlet slots 14.
