摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope transmission that is capable of synchronizing the movement course of the individual solar panels on the jibs of a spacecraft. SOLUTION: The transmission used for spreading out accordion-folded solar cell panels 4, 5, 6 on a spacecraft has rope pulleys 25, 25', 26, 26' on its hinges 12, etc., and round these rope pulleys, endless wire ropes 31, 32, 33 are wound. These wire ropes 31 to 33 are each provided with plastic jackets 47 and 48 fixedly fitted around them in the region other than the rope pulleys 25, 25', 26 and 26' in order to adjust their variation in length to that of the panels 4 to 6 on a temperature change and to improve their rigidity against such elongation.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the releasing without pyrotechnics, by rotatably inserting an opening tool into an excision part of a housing, winding a wire coil around the housing and the opening tool, and opening the wire coil to release a holding bolt while rotating the opening tool to keep the same away therefrom. SOLUTION: An opening tool 22 is rotatably supported in a housing 21. A wire coil 24 is wound around a cylindrical part of the housing 21 and the opening tool 22, and a fused wire is mounted on an edge part of the same. A holding bolt 3 is screwed into a releasing device by a screw 3a, so that a half of a female screw 33 exists in the housing 21, and the other half exists in the opening tool 22. When the voltage is applied to the fused wire, the fused wire is completely fused, and the wire coil 24 is expanded. Whereby the opening tool 22 becomes free, and is rotated to a side. Then a U-shaped body 35 inserted into the opening tool 22, brings the holding bolt 3 comprising a pin, into the opened position, to release the same.

SOLUTION: A spreading device for two panels which are both pivotally supported for solar cells of an artificial satellite is provided with a joint shaft 4 and a coupling/decoupling mechanism, and is coupled with another device to spread the panels out by way of a traction transmission device having a pulley 11. After one panel 3 which is swingable on the joint shaft 4 is spread out by means of the coupling/decoupling mechanism, the joint shaft 4 is allowed to separate from the traction transmission device and during the swinging motion of the spread panel 3 a bolt 8 disposed in parallel with the joint shaft 4 is allowed to engage with grooves 12 and 12a, by which swinging motion the panel 3 can be oriented toward the sun.

摘要： PURPOSE: To collect and recover trace substances in gaseous phase by composing an adsorber material of fibrous base elements made of inorganic fibers and worked into a fleece and allowing the fleece to have a specific thickness and a specific weight per unit area. CONSTITUTION: Polyester, rayon staple and polyvinyl alcohol of as fiber materials are mixed in a mixing vessel and are disentangled, and the fiber material is supplied onto a rotary sieve by a pump. Then the fiber mixture is dried over a cylinder for drying while it is dehydrated or filtered by sucking. Thus prepared fleece 2 brings about simultaneously a surely higher permeable film compared with the commercial filters as well as a very good adsorbing behavior when the fleece has a thickness of 100 μm-2 mm and a weight per unit area of 20-200 g/m . A holder is composed of substantially a cylindrical holder 1, and thereby the fleece 2 is pushed against a front surface of a synthesized resin pipe 3. The opposite end of the synthesized resin pipe 3 is connected to a vacuum pump.
