    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a plate-like workpiece particularly for precise connection of optical fibers.SOLUTION: A method of producing a plate-like workpiece provided with microstructures in the surface comprises arranging a preform between a first mold formed with a pattern and a second mold, before a press step, heating the first and second molds to such a temperature that the state of the preform is changeable and pressing the pattern toward the preform, and cooling the pattern-provided preform, together with the second mold, to shrink the preform to finish a workpiece. Since the pattern-provided preform is cooled from the bottom surface to the upper surface through heat conduction, the temperature distribution is isothermal in the horizontal direction. The method enables production of a workpiece provided with high-precision microstructures in the surface, and the workpiece is available in applications for connecting to a plurality of optical fibers and transmitting signals.

    • The present invention generally relates to screw, punch and screw driver bit and more particularly to the improvement of a drive recess of a screw head or a bolt head, a bit portion of a punch for forging the screw, and a drive bit of a screw driver bit for matching therewith.
