    • The present invention relates to an optical device comprising an optical sheet, and more particularly, to an optical device in which the moire effect is prevented. The optical device of the present invention comprises: a light-focusing unit having a plurality of prism elements extending in a first direction so as to have directivity; a first optical sheet including a diffusion portion formed by a plurality of lenticular lenses extending in a second direction on the surface of the light-focusing unit, opposite to the surface on which the prism elements are formed; and a second optical sheet which is arranged on the first optical sheet, and which has a plurality of optical patterns formed on at least one surface thereof. The optical patterns of the second optical sheet extend in the direction that is substantially the same as the direction in which the lenticular lenses extend. The ratio of the pitch of the optical patterns of the second optical sheet to the pitch of the lenticular lenses, which is less than 1, falls within the range of 0.4 to 0.6, or is 0.95 or higher or 0.05 or lower.

    • The present invention relates to an optical sheet for a backlight unit for use in a liquid crystal display device. The object of the present invention is to provide an optical sheet for a backlight unit, wherein the optical sheet which may include a diffusion sheet or a prism sheet and arranged in front of a light guide plate, has a rear surface comprising fine protrusions, so as to prevent a wet-out phenomenon caused by the surface-contact between the light guide plate and the optical sheet, and to simultaneously prevent damage to the light guide plate caused by beads. To accomplish the object, the optical sheet of the present invention is arranged in front of the light guide plate so as to constitute a backlight unit, wherein the optical sheet comprises: a light-transmitting base film made of a resin material; and a plurality of fine protrusions integrally formed with the rear surface of the base film, or formed on a coating portion made of a resin material on the rear surface of the base film, so as to contact the front surface of the light guide plate.

    • The present invention relates to a light-guide plate. The object of the present invention is to provide: a light-guide plate for a backlight unit which has a unified optical sheet obtained by the integration of a diffusing sheet and a prism sheet, and which is adapted such that the image quality of a liquid crystal display device can be improved by increasing the luminance of the light which is emitted via the unified optical sheet; and a backlight unit comprising the same. The light-guide plate of the present invention, which has been devised in order to achieve the above object, is a light-guide plate which is provided to the rear of a unified diffusion sheet for collecting and diffusing light and which has on its rear surface a light-collecting part formed with a plurality of prism elements and has on its front surface a diffusing part formed with a plurality of diffusing elements; wherein a plurality of sub-patterns are formed on the rear surface, and the sub-patterns are formed such that, proceeding in a direction from the light-entry part to a light-facing part of the light-guide plate, the luminance of the emitted light increases in a biased fashion progressively towards the light-facing part.
