    • An endless belt for use with a heavy duty track vehicle comprises a body made of polymeric material wherein a series of longitudinally spaced guide members are integrally formed to the inner surface thereof while two rows of longitudinally spaced tread members are integrally formed to the outer surface thereof. Each tread member in each row has an outer edge area adjacent the outer edge of the body and an inner edge area terminating substantially at mid-section of the body. Each tread member of the first row is longitudinally offset relative to an adjacent tread member of the second row. Each inner edge area of the tread members is in vertical alignment with a corresponding one of the guide members of the inner surface of the body. Also, the pitch defined by two successive guide members differs in value from other pitches along the outer surfaces of the belt. This particular geometry of tread members and drive members is such as to reduce slitting damages to the track when driven as well as vibration.

    • A clip for use on a track of a snowmobile of the type having a suspension system equipped with one or more elongated slide runners, the track consisting of an endless body having an outer face with transverse ground engaging profiles spaced longitudinally thereof and inner surface adapted to receive, on portions of the lower run thereof, a slide runner of the suspension system. The clip has an inner wall and a pair of side walls engaging the body of the track. The inner wall includes a flat face receiving a slide runner thereon during use of the snowmobile. The flat face displays a series of holes whereby snow or ice over which the snowmobile travels, when lodged in these holes during use, provides lubrication for the sliding contact of the slide runner on a clip and cooling of the clip body from heat generated by the frictional contact of the slide runner on the clip. Furthermore, the presence of these holes reduces the weight of the track so that this mass reduction allows higher rotational speed and less damage to reinforcing rods embedded in the track.

The endless track comprises an impact absorber in a lateral edge part of the endless track, the lateral edge part being located between the cores and a given one of the first lateral edge and the second lateral edge. The impact absorber facilitates an elastic deformation of the lateral edge part when the lateral edge part impacts an obstacle on the ground. For example, in some embodiments, the impact absorber may comprise one or more holes which can deform when the lateral edge part impacts an obstacle on the ground.

    • An endless track for providing traction to an off-road work vehicle (e.g., a construction vehicle, agricultural vehicle, or forestry vehicle). For example, the net non-null lateral force can be used to oppose undesirable side loads and/or tendencies for lateral movements that may be experienced by the endless track due to intrinsic mechanical imbalances which may arise in the vehicle (e.g., "toe-in", negative camber, etc.), motion of the vehicle on the ground (e.g., if the vehicle turns almost exclusively or significantly more often on one side), and/or use of a working implement with which the vehicle may be equipped.
