摘要： A washing machine capable of reducing the manufacturing cost of a circulation device installed to circulate water and capable of preventing water from being scattered when spraying circulating water into a spin basket is described. A tub cover of the washing machine includes a guide part provided with a connector, which is integrated with the tub cover, connected with a circulation passage, and inclined upward toward the tub cover, and an inclined surface inclined toward the spin basket at an inner edge of the tub cover, thereby reducing the manufacturing of the circulation device and preventing water from being scattered. The washing machine includes a circulation drain port formed at a side surface of a tub and a filtering duct connected with the circulation drain port, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the circulation device.

摘要： A washing machine includes a drum; a discharging duct communicating with the drum, and discharging inner air of the drum; a supplying duct communicating with the drum, and supplying external air into the drum to make a flow direction of the external air pass across that of the inner air; and a heat exchanger connected to the discharging and supplying ducts, in which a first air flow path which passes therethrough the inner air discharged outward through the discharging duct and a second air flow path which passes therethrough the external air supplied into the drum through the supplying duct cross each other. The washing machine may also include a humidity regulating part which reduces the humidity of the inner air as it is discharged. Thus, the washing machine improves efficiency of heat exchange between the inner air and the external air through the heat exchanger.

The method includes: circulating detergent water collected in a tub through a circulation passage during a washing cycle; supplying a voltage to a pair of electrodes made of different materials and installed on the circulation passage to determine whether a quantity of detergent contained in the detergent water is excessive; circulating rinsing water collected in the tub through the circulation passage during a rinsing cycle; detecting a magnitude (I2) of a current flowing through the rinsing water by supplying the voltage to the pair of electrodes; and comparing the detected magnitude (I2) of the current with a reference value (Ir), and finishing the rinsing cycle when the detected magnitude (I2) is equal to or less than the reference value (Ir).

A coolant spray is provided inside the condensing duct, and sprays coolant from a lower portion to an upper portion of the condensing duct. A washing machine is thus provided that enhances condensation efficiency by increasing a contact time between hot moisture-laden air in a condensing duct and the coolant while decreasing time consumed during a drying phase.
