Before an empty locker (2) is filled with commodities by a dealer, the dealer can enter in a computing unit (3) a dealer code, the price of the commodities to be introduced and a customer number which identifies the person entitled to extract the commodities. The computing unit (3) has an indicator device (5) which indicates an empty locker (2) after the dealer code, price and customer number have been entered. After the dealer code, price and customer number have been received, the computing unit unlocks the door (4) of the indicated locker, so that the dealer can introduce the commodities, whereupon the locking of the door (4) of the indicated locker takes place. After the customer number and account number of the person entitled to extract the commodities have been entered, the computing unit (3) indicates the filled locker (2) on the indicator device (5) and unlocks the door (4) of this locker (2) for the extraction of the commodities.
