摘要： A spinal fusion device is disclosed. The spinal fusion device includes a first endplate configured for fitting within a disc space and engaging with a first vertebra and a second endplate configured for fitting within the disc space and engaging with a second vertebra. The two endplates are separated by a single spacer that is positioned between the first endplate and the second endplate and maintains a pre-determined distance between the first endplate and the second endplate. The spacer contains an anterior end, a posterior end, a first lateral side, a second lateral side opposite to the first lateral side, a first surface that engages with the first endplate, a second surface that engages with the second endplate. Also disclosed are methods and instruments for implanting the spinal fusion device.

摘要： A method for treating conditions related to lack of blood supply with a lipid based resuscitation fluid is disclosed. The resuscitation fluid contains a lipid component and an aqueous carrier. The lipid component forms an emulsion with the aqueous carrier. The resuscitation fluid can be used to increase the blood pressure and to carry oxygen to tissues. The resuscitation fluid can also be used for preserving the biological integrity of donor organs for transplantation.

The replication-deficient recombinant virus vector has a recombinant virus genome with one or more defective viral genes. The method comprises infecting a host cell with a carrier virus having a carrier virus genome encoding one or more trans factors or variants thereof, incubating the infected host cell for a desired period of time, and isolating the replication-deficient recombinant virus vector. The carrier virus is a cytoplasmic virus that retains the carrier virus genome in the cytoplasm of the host cell. The host cell contains the recombinant viral genome and retains the recombinant viral genome in a nucleus of the host cell. Also disclosed is a carrier virus for the production of a replication-deficient recombinant virus vector.

摘要： A substrate and method for growing a semi-conductive crystal on a metal-organic alloy film such as (AIN) x (SiC)( I -x ) without any buffer layer is disclosed. The (AlN) x (SiC)( I-X ) alloy film can be formed on a SiC substrate by a vapor deposition process using AlN and SiC powder as starting materials. The (AIN) x (S iC)( I-X ) alloy film provides a better lattice match for GaN or SiC epitaxial growth and reduces defects in epitaxially grown GaN with better lattice match and chemistry.
