    • A storage rack assembly in kit form is particularly adapted for use on a vehicle and includes a small number of different types of components to simplify shipping, assembly and installation by a purchaser. The storage rack includes side, front and back generally flat panels connected together to form a generally rectangular structure. Opposed side panels are connected to opposed ends of plural elongated cross members which are arranged in a spaced manner along the length of the rectangular structure and are aligned in a common plane to form a flat support bed in the storage rack. Plural telescoping support/mounting members are each connected to a respective cross member to allow for varying the storage rack's width depending on vehicle size and are adapted for secure attachment to the vehicle. Incorporating additional interfitting side panels and cross members allows for increasing the storage rack's length.

    • A boot-retaining unit of a ski binding secures one end, in particular the toe end, of a ski boot using two boot sole holders pivotable about vertical axes, which engage an end region of the sole periphery or ski boot from the side, front and/or top and interact with a spring arrangement, which biases the boot/sole holder against the boot/sole periphery and allows the ski boot to be disengaged counter to a disengaging resistance. The sole holders are double-armed levers, with the lever arms of the sole holders distal from the sole interacting with pistons which are displaceable in a direction transverse to the ski binding's axis and, by a spring which is clamped between and engages the pistons, are forced against the lever arms which are remote from the sole.

    • A post assembly having a first post member, a second post member positioned within the first post member, and a sleeve member installed in the ground. The first and second post members are insertable into the sleeve member and the second post member is rotatable relative to the first post member and the sleeve member to inhibit separation of the first post member and the second post member from the ground sleeve. The first post member includes a first passage, the second post member includes a second passage having a first section and a second section, and the sleeve member includes a latch pin that travels along the first and second passages. When the latch pin is in a particular position within the first and second passages, removal of the first post member and the second post member from the sleeve member is inhibited.

    • The present invention relates to an air-gap-insulated exhaust manifold (1) of an internal combustion engine, in particular in a motor vehicle, having a collecting line (2) that extends in a longitudinal direction (3), an outlet opening (4) oriented in the longitudinal direction (3), multiple inlet openings (5) oriented across the longitudinal direction (3) and a flange (6) that extends in the longitudinal direction (3) and includes the inlet openings (5), wherein an inside pipe (11) is situated in an outside pipe (10), forming an air-gap insulation, and whereby a gas-carrying outside pipe section (13) is provided in the area of at least one of the inlet openings (5) and leads from the respective inlet opening (5) to an assigned inside pipe inlet (14) which is at a distance from the flange (6). The inside pipe (11) is attached to the outside pipe (10) only in an attachment area (15).
