The encapsulated monitoring device may be mounted to a pneumatic tire with an attachment (182) patch.

摘要： A non-attached monitoring device includes monitoring assembly and an antenna configured to radiate signals from the monitoring assembly. The antenna is configured to radiate through the oriented attenuating body of the tire sidewall regardless of the position of the monitoring device with respect to the tire sidewall. In one embodiment, the antenna has a body that is looped back on itself. The body may be parallel to or perpendicular to the antenna ground plane. In another embodiment, a radiating slot antenna is configured to provide transmissions through the tire sidewall regardless of the position of the monitoring device.

摘要： Thermoplastic elastomers, such as styrene-poly(ethylene-propylene)-styrene (SEPS) and styrene-poly(ethylene-butylene)-styrene (SEBS), have a tendency to undergo homolytic cleavage on mixing, particularly when extended mixing times are employed. Such thermoplastic elastomers are protected by addition of a polymer with multiple reactive sites, such as polybutadiene. The polymer reacts with two or more of the cleaved fragments forming a copolymer which regains much of the original character of the thermoplastic elastomer.

One of the end plates is a bead plate which is crimped ti an open end of the sleeve. An insert having an internally threaded hole is mounted in a central hole formed in the bead plate. An externally threaded coupler (30) having a hollow bore (32) is mounted in a central opening (19) formed in an end member of an auxiliary reservoir (3) and is threadably engaged with the internally threaded hole (23) to mount the auxiliary reservoir (3) in an abutting relationship on the air spring bead plate to provide a variable rate air spring. A fluid path is provided through the threaded connection for the flow of fluid between the air spring and auxiliary reservoir.

The liner is non-toxic to aquatic animals grown in the aquaculture reservoir. The liner is particularly useful for the aquaculture of shrimp and crayfish.

A tag is carried by the reinforcing belt. In one embodiment, the tag is disposed in the location of one of the reinforcing cords that is disposed in the reinforcing belt. In another embodiment, the tag is disposed at the splice of the reinforcing belt. An alternative version of the tire has the tag carried in a depression formed in the outer surface of the tire sidewall. The mold has an annular array of tread mold segments which have an inner circumferential surface and inwardly extending projections which form the tread pattern in the tire including the skid surface and tread lugs. The mold further includes a pair of sidewall mold plates which are in abutting contact with the tread mold segments and form a pair of circumferentially extending molds parting lines which are in axial alignment with a nylon reinforcing strip located in the crown portion of the tire and within 1,27 cm(1/2 inch) of the inner circumferential surface of the tread mold segments to reduce flash formed on the molded tire.
