摘要： A exit chute (50) for a pharmaceutical tablet press machine comprising a first exit chute portion having a first end and a second end wherein the first end is adapted to be secured to the tablet press for receiving tablets formed thereby. A second exit chute portion is provided that has a first end and a second end and the first end is adapted to be removably secured to the second end of the first exit chute portion to form an extended tablet pathway, and the second chute portion includes an aperture therein whereby rejected tablets can be diverted to pass therethrough and accepted tablets will be allowed to pass through the second exit chute portion and out of the second end thereof. An air-actuated gate (56) is mounted to the second exit chute portion that is adapted to be selectively moved from an open reject position wherein tablets are diverted through the aperture to a closed accept position wherein the tablets are allowed to pass through the second exit chute portion, and wherein the selective movement is in response to signals from the tablet press. Circuit means electrically connect the air-actuated gate and the tablet press and includes sensor means (60A, 60B) for detecting whether the air-actuated gate (56) is in a correct tablet accept or tablet reject position. The circuit means acts to stop the tablet press during the tablet pressing operation when a fault in the position of the air-actuated gate (56) is detected.

摘要： The invention provides for the use of oligodeoxynucleotide decoys for the prophylactic or therapeutic treatment of diseases associated with the binding of endogenous transcription factors to genes involved in cell growth, differentiation and signalling or to viral genes. By inhibiting endogenous trans-activating factors from binding transcription regulatory regions, the decoys modulate gene expression and thereby regulating pathological processes including inflammation, intimal hyperplasia, angiogenesis, neoplasia, immune responses and viral infection. The decoys are administered in amounts and under conditions whereby binding of the endogenous transcription factor to the endogenous gene is effectively competitively inhibited without significant host toxicity. The subject compositions comprise the decoy molecules in a context which provides for pharmacokinetics sufficient for effective therapeutic use.

摘要： A computerized pharmaceutical care cognitive services mangement system and method (PC-CSMS) (24) allows the transformation of a pharmacist from a vendor to a health care provider. The PC-CSMS (24) captures all of the value added by a pharmacist to a patient encounter and permits the association of multiple RARs (Reason, Action, Result) (34) with a single SOAP (Subjective Information, Objective Information, Assessment, Plan) (32). 摘要： A process for agglomerating by extrusion, metallurgical by-products and waste products having small particle size, is described. A blend of metallurgical by-products, some of which contain silicates previously treated at high temperatures and thereby being capable of chemically and structurally binding water, optionally mixed with portland cement and/or slag cement, and containing water which has been added in amounts that the silicates and cement present can completely absorb and react with, is further mixed with a hydrocarbonaceous substance. The resulting mixture is subsequently agglomerated by extrusion. The extrudates obtained are shape retaining and sufficiently hard to be handled without breaking, crumbling or dusting, and may be charged to extractive pyrometallurgical installations for recovering value metals contained in the metallurgical by-products and waste products. The extrudates may also be stored without dusting and loss of hardness.
