    • A system and method are provided for employing man-portable unitary platform system segments, particularly as components of integrated castle defense systems. A lightweight modular and mobile system of integrated platform segments is provided to facilitate users integrating flexible platform configurations secured to existing wall structures to support myriad user tasks. Individual platform system segments can be autonomously employed, or can be linked together after being quickly attached to a wall, a structure, or another supporting surface by two users in minimal time. In law enforcement, security, military and/or paramilitary employment scenarios, individual platform system segments are emplaced, and linked together, to provide a unitary defensible position in a matter of minutes. An overall platform structure of a plurality of individual man-portable platform system segments provides operational and employment flexibility that was previously unattainable to bolster or boost defenses of a particular position against increasing, and increasingly agile, threats.

    • A system and method are provided for triggering re-beamforming in a 60 GHz communication link based on information collected from platform positional sensors associated with one or the other or both of the transmitters/receivers that constitute ends of the communication link. The disclosed systems and methods monitor various positional sensors that may be used to sense translational and rotational movement of at least one of the platforms on which at least one of the transmitters/receivers is mounted. Information provided by the positional sensors is processed to determine whether or not to trigger re-beamforming for link recovery in 60 GHz communication link.. Information provided by the sensors may be used in combination with other link operating metrics, such as PER and RSSI, to make an intelligent determination whether to trigger re-beamforming.

    • A system and method are provided for providing precise location sensing for wireless devices in an indoor environment using channel fading fingerprinting. An indoor environment within which wireless devices are used is surveyed to develop a channel fading database for the indoor environment. The surveying of the indoor environment determines a specific channel fading profile according to 30 subcarrier frequencies in a wireless signal for numerous locations within the indoor environment. A wireless device scans for available wireless access points and extracts a channel fading profile for a current location of the wireless device. The extracted channel fading profile for the current location of the wireless device is compared with the channel fading database. A best match comparison between the extracted channel fading profile and the channel fading database is used to determine an actual physical location of the wireless device in the indoor environment.
