    • Catheters, systems, and methods are provided for performing medical procedures, such as tissue ablation, adjacent the ostia of anatomical vessels, such as pulmonary veins. The catheter comprises an elongated flexible catheter body, which includes a proximal shaft portion and a distal shaft portion, and a tracking element carried by the distal shaft portion. The proximal section is pre-shaped to form a curve having an apex sized to be inserted into the vessel ostium, and a distal section configured to contact the adjacent tissue when the curve apex is inserted within the vessel ostium. The method may comprise inserting the curve apex into the vessel ostium to place the distal section in contact with a first tissue site adjacent the vessel ostium, and determining a location of the tracking element(s) within a coordinate system while the distal section is in contact with the first tissue site.

    • A lottery system and method is disclosed which promotes the continued play of a participant by rewarding them, on a pro-rated basis, for their loyalty. There are two aspects to the invention: (i) the tracking of a player's behaviour; and (ii) calculating a lottery payout structure based on the player's behaviour. In general, players are recognized for their loyalty or patronage, with those demonstrating superior loyalty being awarded a greater amount of a loyalty prize pot. In the event that several players select the winning number in a given lottery, the main prize would be equally divided amongst them. However, for those particularly loyal customers, additional moneys would be paid out from a loyalty reward pot. A mathematical formula in the form of a decay function incorporating the recency, frequency and intensity of a player's lottery ticket purchases would establish whether or not a player qualifies for a loyalty reward payout from the loyalty reward pot as well as the amount to be awarded.

    • A system for autonomous object tracking with static camera arrangements. Each camera arrangement may minimally have a pan-tilt-zoom camera and a range or depth sensor. Imaging may provide coordinates and depth information of a tracked object. Measurements of an image centroid position and width may be obtained with processing. Maintaining an image at the center of a camera screen may be attained at a pixel width of the image. Estimation and prediction of object size and position may be processed for providing pan, tilt and zoom rates for the camera. Pan, tilt and zoom latency may be accounted for in the system. There may be a number of camera arrangements where tracking of the object may be handed off by one camera arrangement to another.
