摘要： An asphalt density estimation system includes a measurement device configured to output a measurement signal; a time synchronization unit configured to sample the measurement signal to obtain a sampled measurement signal and identify periodic sampling points of the sampled measurement signal across a plurality of periods. The system also includes a time synchronous averaging unit configured to construct a modified measurement signal in the time domain by: for at least one sampling point within the period, averaging a plurality of the periodic sampling points across periods to obtain an average periodic data point for the at least one sampling point, and constructing the modified measurement signal using the average periodic data point for the at least one sampling point. The system further includes a density calculation unit configured to determine asphalt density values based on the modified measurement signal; and a display unit configured to display the determined asphalt density values.

The actuator may be configured to manipulate the movable clamp along a trajectory.

摘要： A rate dependent tether for securing a shoe to a user, and footwear incorporating the rate dependent tether. The rate dependent tether may include a tube filled with a shear-thickening material and at least one cable or ribbon. In conditions of normal, low, or no intense activity by the user, the rate dependent tether's deformation resistance is low allowing the rate dependent tether to be extended to allow insertion or removal of the foot. At active levels, for example, participating in sporting events or intense activities, the rate dependent tether's deformation resistance is high preventing the rate dependent tether from loosening and securing the shoe on the user. The rate dependent tether may be connected to a saddle. A rate dependent insole for footwear, a support impregnated with a shear-thickening fluid, a rate dependent footcone, and rate dependent bands are also described.

The same motor dispenses ingredients from a plurality of canisters. The method may have a plurality of paddle rotation and weight measurement steps until a target weight is reached. The plurality of paddle rotation steps may be unidirectional or bidirectional paddle rotation. The paddle may be rotated according to one or more paddle rotation algorithms, an error recovery algorithm, or different algorithms based on the amounts of ingredients remaining in the canister. The paddle may be rocked until the target weight is achieved.
