    • A cardiac medical system, such as an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) system, receives a cardiac electrical signal by and senses cardiac events when the signal crosses an R-wave sensing threshold. The system determines at least one sensed event parameter from the cardiac electrical signal for consecutive cardiac events sensed by the sensing circuit and compares the sensed event parameters to P-wave oversensing criteria. The system detects P-wave oversensing in response to the sensed event parameters meeting the P-wave oversensing criteria; and adjusts at least one of an R-wave sensing control parameter or a therapy delivery control parameter in response to detecting the P-wave oversensing.

    • A system for retrieving an implanted medical device includes an outer tubular member and a contractible super-elastic net, which may be joined to an elongate shaft that extends in sliding engagement within the outer tubular member. When the net expands from a contracted condition the net defines a longitudinally extending tubular cavity. An open end of the cavity is sized to receive passage of a housing of the device therethrough; and the net, with the device housing contained therein, forms an interference fit within an inner diameter of the outer tubular member. But, an outer diameter of the net, in a fully expanded condition, is larger than the inner diameter.

    • In some examples, an implantable medical device determines that another medical device delivered an anti-tachyarrhythmia shock, and delivers post-shock pacing in response to the determination. The implantable medical device may be configured to both detect the delivery of the shock in a sensed electrical signal and, if delivery of the shock is not detected, determine that the shock was delivered based on detection of asystole of the heart. The asystole may be detected based on the sensed electrical signal. In some examples, an implantable medical device is configured to revert from a post-shock pacing mode to a baseline pacing mode by iteratively testing a plurality of decreasing values of pacing pulse magnitude until loss of capture is detected. The implantable medical device may update a baseline value of the pacing pulse magnitude for the baseline mode based on the detection of loss of capture.
