摘要： Formulations for producing modified bio-based polymers, especially bio-based polyesters like PLA and/or biodegradable polymers like PBAT, include at least one organic peroxide and at least one bio-based reactive additive. The at least one organic peroxide and/or the at least one bio-based reacted additive are capable of reacting with a bio-based polymer and/or biodegradable polymer to produce the modified bio-based and/or modified biodegradable polymer. The modified bio-based and/or modified biodegradable polymers have improved properties compared to non-modified bio-based and/or biodegradable polymers. The improved properties may related to processability, especially improved melt strength which results in easier processing while producing foamed polymers, thin films, such as blown film, cast film, tentered film and the like. The improved properties may be related to physical properties such as improved stiffness, toughness or tensile strength.

摘要： A breaker composition for use in a fracturing fluid comprises at least one organic peroxide (e.g., tert-butyl hydroperoxide), at least one dye (e.g., an FD&C dye), and at least one alcohol (e.g., propylene glycol). A promoter composition for use in a fracturing fluid comprises at least one promoter (e.g., sodium thiosulfate), at least one dye (e.g., an FD&C dye). According to certain embodiments, the dye increases the efficiency of the promoter and/or the organic peroxide, so that the break time and the peak viscosity of the aqueous treatment fluid are reduced.

摘要： An organic peroxide formulation includes at least one organic peroxide and at least one cellulose compound. Embodiments of the organic peroxide formulations significant improvements in surface tackiness (often including but not limited to tack-free surfaces) when curing elastomers in the presence of oxygen. Embodiments of the present invention relate to organic peroxide formulations that can cure solid elastomers in the full or partial presence of oxygen using, for example, a hot air oven or tunnel, molten salt bath, or steam autoclave. Embodiments of the invention also relate to crosslinkable elastomer compositions, processes for curing the elastomers, and products made by such processes.

Additionally, a method for preparing a water-borne, substantially surfactant free, urethane and acrylic modified alkyd dispersion, with less than 1 weight % VOC, is described. In the method, an acrylic modified alkyd polymer is reacted with a basic compound in water to form an acrylic modified alkyd dispersion having a first viscosity and then a hydrophobic seed is added thereto to form a urethane and acrylic modified alkyd dispersion having a second viscosity, which is substantially less than the first viscosity.

摘要： A nanodiamond coating for use on a solar cell, the coating including a nanodiamond material suspended in a liquid, wherein the nanodiamond material has a size range from about 1 nm to about 10 nm. Methods for improving the efficiency of a solar cell are provided, including, mixing a nanodiamond material with a liquid polymer or non-polymer solvent to form a nanodiamond-polymer suspension, forming a coating of the suspension on a top surface of a solar cell, and drying the coating such that a dried nanodiamond-polymer layer remains bonded to the solar cell. Useful nanodiamond coating compositions may include a nanodiamond material, a fluoropolymer, a liquid solvent for the fluoropolymer and at least one additive selected from the group consisting of dispersing agents, adhesion promoters, and coupling agents. The fluoropolymer may also be used in the form of an aqueous dispersion.

摘要： A process for crosslinking an elastomer composition in the presence of an organic peroxide formulation is disclosed. The organic peroxide formulation may comprise additional compounds chosen from bis-, tri- and higher poly-maleimides, bis-, tri- and higher poly-citraconimides, peroxide-crosslinkable silicone elastomers, p-phenylenediamine based antiozonants, sulfur containing organic compounds which are accelerators for the sulfur curing (crosslinking) of polymers which are curable/crosslinkable by sulfur, and polysulfide polymers. Methods of manufacturing elastomer articles, methods of reducing mold-fouling, elastomer compositions, and elastomer articles made from the elastomer compositions are also disclosed.
