摘要： Options for safely handling incoming data messages in a moving mobile device are provided within the mobile device. When an incoming data message is detected, the device determines its velocity. If the velocity exceeds a certain value, external data, such as visual or biometric data, measured by a device component is analyzed to determine whether the mobile device is in a driver position of a moving vehicle. If so, an announcement of the incoming call is prevented and a predetermined message is autonomously transmitted to the sender. If analysis of the external data is inconclusive, a prompt is presented to a recipient with selectable options of how to handle the incoming message. In response to the various inputs received from the recipient, the mobile device may either autonomously send a response message to the sender or may directly establish a voice call between the recipient and the sender.

A terminal may exchange a first GPP message with first information for a positioning method and an access type supported by GPP. Each GPP message may include at least one position element, and each position element may be for a specific positioning method. The terminal may obtain a position estimate for itself based on the second information. In another aspect, positioning may be performed based on measurements for cells of different wireless access types. In yet another aspect, received transmission times may be transformed to converted times based on common timing, which may be applicable for multiple wireless access types.

摘要： A system and method for determining the location of a re-deployable base station is disclosed. The disclosed system and method allow for accurate determination of the location of a re-deployable base station, such as a femto base station (FBS), using position information obtained from a mobile station (MS) that is communicating with the FBS being located. The position information can include the location of the mobile device as estimated using one or more satellite positioning systems or cellular network based positioning systems. The position information can also include data identifying pilots from base stations and/or other FBS's that the MS is receiving. A determination of the propagation loss between the MS and the FBS is used to estimate the distance between the mobile device and the FBS. The location of the FBS is determined based on the received position information and the determined distance between the MS and the FBS.

摘要： Techniques to support location services for a roaming mobile station are described. The mobile station may communicate with a serving mobile switching center (MSC) in a serving network. A roaming service provider (RSP) network may map an actual MSC identity (MSCID) of the serving MSC to a generic MSCID and may provide the generic MSCID to a home network. A home mobile positioning center (H-MPC) may map the generic MSCID to an Internet Protocol (IP) address of a mapping server within the RSP network and may send a location request message containing a mobile station identity (MSID) to the mapping server. The mapping server may determine a serving mobile positioning center (S-MPC) based on the MSID and may forward the message to the SMPC. The mapping server may also receive a location response message from the S-MPC and may forward the message to the H-MPC.
