摘要： A system and method for utilizing account tiers in an electronic network includes a peer-to-peer network of client devices. The client devices are configured to perform content transfers for obtaining desired content items directly over the peer-to-peer network, or from a CDN server device. The client devices generate account-tier selections to choose from among the supported account tiers. A tier manager monitors, updates, and stores the tier selections from the client devices. The tier manager also calculates content prices that vary depending upon the particular selected account tier. The client devices then pay the appropriate designated content prices for accessing and utilizing desired content items.

Image data is initially provided to include a query image and a series of test images. A feature detector calculates image parameters corresponding to the image data. The image parameters include mean absolute values, variance values, and texture angles. The feature detector utilizes the image parameters to calculate distance values that represent texture similarity characteristics between the query image and each of the test images. The feature detector then evaluates the distance values to determine one or more matching images from among the test images.

摘要： Composite electrodes (300) are constructed with pressure-bonding techniques instead of an adhesive. A current collector (302) is made from aluminum foil roughed on both surfaces. The surfaces of the collector can be treated to enhance adhesion to the surfaces. Layers of film (306, 307) that includes active electrode material, such as activated carbon, are fabricated and pressure-bonded to the current collector using a calendar with heated rollers. The resulting composite sheet is then processed to shape electrodes, which can be used in electrical energy storage devices, including double layer capacitors.
