摘要： Embodiments of the present invention feature devices and methods for administering medicaments to subjects and, in particular, molecular iodine to animals in drinking water for the treatment of oral bad breath and disease. An exemplary device comprises a source of medicament in a fluid, measuring means, an administration switch and a water reservoir means. The measuring means is in fluid communication with said source of medicament for measuring an aliquot of medicament corresponding to a dose for the treatment of a disease. The measuring means is also in communication with a water reservoir means and releases the aliquot into the water reservoir means upon signal activation. The administration switch means is in signal communication with the measuring means and upon activation by a subject produces an activation signal received by the measuring means. The water reservoir means is for receiving the aliquot and forming an aqueous solution of medicament.

摘要： A device for limiting sample evaporation. The device has a vessel body having a body exterior surface and at least one body interior surface. The at least one body interior surface has one or more walls defining a first chamber, a second chamber and a conduit means. The first chamber has a first chamber opening for receiving at least one of the groups selected from a sample and a sample dispensing device. The first chamber opening defines the border of the body exterior surface and the body interior surface. The conduit means is in communication with the first chamber and the second chamber for receiving at least one of the group consisting of sample from said first chamber, a sample from a sample dispensing device and a sample dispensing device passing through or into the conduit means for placing the sample in the conduit means or into the second chamber. The second chamber is in communication with the conduit means for receiving and containing the sample from at least one of the group selected from the sample dispensing device and conduit means. The conduit means is arranged such that the sample in the second chamber is substantially isolated from the atmosphere to limit sample evaporation in the second chamber as the sample is contained therein.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention are directed to devices and methods for propelling fluids that feature at least one first pump assembly having a primary pump, an accumulator pump, drive means, valve means and control means. The valve means moves between the first position and the second position as the accumulator pump and primary pump alternate between a loading movement and a pump movement. The control means is in signal communication with the accumulator pump, the primary pump and the valve means. 摘要： A high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) capillary column device, system and method for processing a HPLC sample with a cartridge housing a packed capillary column; at least one inlet connection to the capillary column for a sample fluid; and at least one outlet connection from the capillary column for the sample fluid. The outlet connection is able to accommodate either a spray tip for atomizing the sample fluid or a transport tube for transporting the sample fluid from a spray tip column to a spray tip. Inlet connections enable supply of electrical power to the capillary column through electrical connections disposed within the cartridge housing; and gas for evaporating the sample liquid is supplied to at least one outlet connection from the capillary column for the sample fluid through a gas supply line within the cartridge housing. The temperature of the sample liquid can be controlled through a heat connection.
