摘要： Supramolecular polymers or materials that exhibit high stiffness and can efficiently be healed. The supramolecular materials polymer is based on monomers having three or more same or different binding sites that permit non-covalent, directional interactions between multiple monomer molecules. The properties of the supramolecular networks formed from the monomers are governed by cross-linked architecture and the large weight-fraction of the binding motif. The material in one embodiment forms a disordered glass, which in spite of the low-molecular weight of the building block, displays typical polymeric behavior. The material exhibits high stiffness and offers excellent coating and adhesive properties. On account of reversible dissociation and the formation of a low-viscosity liquid upon application of an optical stimulus or thermal stimulus or both, rapid healing as well as (de)bonding are possible.

摘要： Thiocarbonate compounds which, in one embodiment, are utilized as a rheology modifier or associative thickener. The thiocarbonate compounds thicken or increase the viscosity of a composition, preferably an aqueous composition when used in an effective amount. In one preferred embodiment, the thiocarbonate compounds include at least one hydrophilic group containing repeat unit such as derived from acrylic acid, and at least one hydrophobic group to enhance association with other compounds and thus increase viscosity of a composition. Aqueous composition comprising a latex and thiocarbonate associative thickeners are described.

摘要： Such systems typically have an extendable rollover bar, which in its extended position is locked against being pushed back in by a locking pawl that is in operative locking engagement with a toothed segment. To make it possible by simple means to use both hands to return the rollover bar to its retracted position when required, the invention provides a reversing lever, which can be manually brought to a self-holding position above dead center while unlocking the locking pawl before the rollover bar is pushed in. This self-holding position can be automatically canceled again just before the rollover bar reaches its standby position.
