    • Substantially accurate estimation of coordinates of a subject network node in a coordinate space is accomplished by considering designated coordinates of other positioned nodes within the network. The designation of coordinates in the coordinate space to such nodes allows the computation of predicted coordinate distances between two network nodes based on the coordinates. By optimizing the network distance errors between measured distances and predicted coordinate distances, the predicted coordinates of a subject node joining the network can be iteratively refined. With these estimated coordinates, the coordinate distance between two points in the space may be computed as a prediction of the network distance between the two corresponding nodes. Furthermore, coordinate-based coordinate estimation lends itself to security precautions to protect against malicious reference nodes or external interference.

    • A tablet computer is composed of a tablet component and a keyboard component. The tablet component houses all of the essential hardware of tablet computer including the central processing unit (CPU), the memory, the power supply, and a touch screen display. The keyboard component is a simple peripheral device that offers no computing functionality unless connected with the tablet component. The tablet component and keyboard component can mate to form a notebook type computer. The tablet component and keyboard component can mate in an orientation allowing use of only a tablet computing user interface. The tablet component is removable from the keyboard component and functions independently as a tablet computing device. The keyboard component has a counterbalance armature to oppose the moment of inertia due to the changing center of mass of the tablet computer as the tablet component is moved from a closed to an open position.

    • A blended result image is computed using guided interpolation to alter image data within a destination domain. The destination domain may be altered based on a guided interpolator that is either dependent or not dependent upon a source image. When blending a source region into a destination region of an image, guided interpolation eliminates or minimizes apparent seams between the inserted region and the rest of the image. A variety of interpolation guides may be used to yield different effects in the blended results image. Such interpolation guides may include without limitation an identity guide, a smooth guide, a filtering guide, a transparent guide, a masking guide, and a weighted average combination of various guides.
