摘要： A safety cabinet includes an enclosure and at least one door to selectively seal the enclosure. The safety cabinet can be used to store, for example, flammable liquids, flammable waste, corrosives, pesticides, or combustible waste. The safety cabinet incorporates a thermally-actuated damper that includes a body, a valve plate, and a pivot assembly. The valve plate is disposed within the passage of the body such that the valve plate is movable between an open position and a closed position. The pivot assembly includes a biasing system adapted to bias the valve plate to the closed position and a fusible link interconnected between the body and the biasing system to constrain the valve plate from moving from the open position to the closed position. The fusible link is configured to melt at a predetermined temperature to thereby allow the biasing system to move the valve plate to the closed position.

摘要： A hydraulic actuator system includes a load sense assembly that is configured to transmit a load sense signal to a variable pump to vary a flow of pressurized fluid from the variable pump in response to the load sense signal to generate a desired flow to the actuator. The load sense assembly includes a load sense boost valve (LSBV) configured to dynamically boost the load-sense signal according to the desired margin pressure and the flow demand from the system. When flow demands are low, margin pressure will be above the set threshold of the adjustable LSBV, and no boosting occurs. When flow demands are high and pressure in the load sense line drops to the set threshold, or minimum margin pressure, the LSBV begins boosting the load sense signal pressure dynamically. The boosted load sense signal signals the variable pump to stroke and displace more fluid to increase flow to the actuator.

摘要： A web-based application for an insurance carrier that combines national account information and detailed insurance policy information with catastrophe modeling technology. As an event occurs, the modeling technology determines a projected damage area that the event will cause. The insurance carrier can cross-reference that information with its account and policy information. In a short time, the insurance carrier can generate the following catastrophe exposure data: (1) summary reports indicating the projected number of damaged locations for each account; (2) maps and graphs of each account's affected locations that provide a visual image of the epicenter and the concentration of the losses; and (3) tables with detailed property location information. After receiving this data, the insurance carrier can secure the services of independent adjusters and assign other resources according to the scope and magnitude of the projected loss.
