    • An immersive virtual reality system and a method for enhancing a virtual reality environment in an immersive virtual reality system are described, wherein a processing system arranged to generate virtual reality scenes in a virtual reality environment is also arranged to (i) generate a configuration control object of the virtual reality environment, which may be represented in a virtual reality scene in a predetermined position, which comprises a plurality of selectively viewable hierarchical logic levels of commands, each represented by at least one object for interacting with the virtual reality environment; (ii) verify periodically the existence of a collision condition between a pointer object displayed in a virtual reality scene and associated with a pointer member moved by a user and the control object according to a predetermined collision time verification interval having a first time duration, wherein the collision condition between the pointer object and the control object comprises the overlapping of the position of the pointer object and the control object in the virtual reality scene; (iii) on occurrence of a collision condition, interrupt the elapsing of said collision verification time interval for a predetermined collision handling time interval having a second time duration; (iv) determine the display of a lower hierarchical logic level of commands or the execution of the selected command of the configuration control object; and (v) after said collision handling time interval has elapsed, reset the elapsing of said collision verification time interval.

    • A method for manufacturing a three-dimensional structure by localized electroforming of a material (M) from an electrolytic solution is disclosed. The method comprises: - emitting a jet (J) of the electrolytic solution towards one impacting area (P) of an electrically conductive target substrate (S; M); - controlling the relative position of the jet (J) with respect to the target substrate (S; M) in such a way as to follow a predetermined electroforming path as a function of a predetermined configuration pattern of the three-dimensional structure; and - controlling a potential difference between a control electrode (A) and the target substrate (S; M) or, alternatively, an ion current intensity through the jet (J) between the control electrode (A) and the target substrate (S; M), in order to obtain a deposition of material from the electrolytic solution on the target substrate (S; M) or a removal of material from the target substrate (S; M); the method further comprising, during an electroforming cycle or between two electroforming cycles: - injecting a predetermined probing electrical current into an electroforming circuit including the control electrode (A), the jet (J) of electrolytic solution and the target substrate (S; M); - detecting the potential difference established across said electroforming circuit as a function of the position of the jet (J) along the electroforming path; - determining the present elevation of the three-dimensional structure under formation over the base substrate (S) as a function of the detected potential difference; - comparing the present elevation with a predetermined design elevation and calculating a corresponding elevation difference; - modulating at least one of a plurality of predetermined physical parameters of the localized electroforming process affecting a deposition or removal rate of the material on the target substrate (S; M) as a function of the position of the jet (J) along the electroforming path and the calculated elevation difference at said position.
