摘要： An automated method for producing a fibrous preform on a tool surface (12). Such fibrous preform is configured to receive liquid resin via resin infusion. A disposable layer (15) containing a small amount of radiation absorbing material is placed onto the tool surface prior to the automated placement of the first ply of dry fibrous material (11). Particles of a polymeric or resinous binder (16) are applied on an exposed surface of the disposable layer (15) to enhance adhesion of the first ply. The dry fibrous material (11) may be in the form of elongated, narrow-width fiber tapes or broader fabrics that can be deposited onto the tool surface by an automated placement method. The disposable layer (15) may be in the form of a flexible polymeric film, a release film, a peel ply or a polymer-coated glass cloth.

摘要： A synthesis process for making a benzoxazine compound containing at least one benzoxazine unit from aromatic amine containing at least one primary amino group, at least one phenolic compound with at least one ortho-hydrogen, and alkyl formcel. In one embodiment, the aromatic amine is reacted with alkyl formcel to generate an alkoxymethyl intermediate compound. Subsequently, the intermediate compound is reacted with a phenol to generate the benzoxazine compound. In another embodiment, the benzoxazine compound is formed by reacting aromatic amine with alkyl formcel and phenol in one reaction step. Also disclosed is a method for isolating the alkoxymethyl compound formed by reacting aromatic amine with alkyl formcel. The isolated alkoxymethyl compound is useful as a reactant in a subsequent reaction.

摘要： A process for producing positively charged polymer encapsulated particles which have a size of less than 5 µm and which include a positively charged polymer shell surrounding a core of particle. The process includes the steps of, firstly, dispersing the core particles in an aqueous solution; adding a mixture of monomers either before or after the dispersion step; then, polymerizing the monomers in view of obtaining polymer encapsulated particles, wherein the polymer shell of the particle includes polymers or co-polymers that have a functional group FG. Finally, the process includes the step of dispersing the encapsulated particles with surfactants and charge directors in view of obtaining positively charged encapsulated particle dispersions.
