    • A method for analyzing and identifying functional linkages between biological processes which are regulated in a coordinate manner. An especially preferred example of a biological process to which the method of the present invention may be applied is the analysis of groups of coordinately regulated genes. More preferably, the present invention analyzes large set of genome-wide expression data or transcriptional data in order to discover coordinately regulated genes, which can be termed "transcriptional modules". Optionally and most preferably, the groups of genes are identified with their corresponding cis -regulatory elements. Thus, if the cis -regulatory elements for the transcriptional module are not known, they can optionally be identified with the method of the present invention, for example if functional linkages between genes are known and the associated cis-regulatory element is also available, this information can be used to identify the corresponding transcriptional module.

    • A device, a method and a system for remote access and synchronization of data, particularly for e-mail messages. The present invention enables such remote access and subsequent display of the synchronized data at alocal computational device. Instead, a portable device is operated by the user, in order to access the data from the remote data resource. Optionally, the portable device then transmits the data to the local computational device being operated by the user. Alternatively, some type of display capability is included within theportable device itself. In either situation, the portable device preferably features wireless data transmission capability. The wireless data transmission capability is optionally integrally provided within the portable device, but alternatively is provided through communication with a separate device for wireless data transmission.

    • A system and a method for voting with a unique one-time token by an audience member, which is fully automated. The token is preferably usable only within a predetermined lifespan, such that the time period for collecting the data is predefined. If the audience is to be allowed to submit more than one preference, or to have more than one "vote", preferably a plurality of tokens are provided to the audience member. According to one embodiment, such a plurality of tokens are all preferably of equal weight, or generic. Alternatively, such tokens may optionally and preferably be classified, in which a first token is for voting for a first preference, a second token is for voting for a second preference, and so forth.
