摘要： Coating compositions having a polymeric binder and a stabilizer composition including at least one of a UV absorber, a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS), or an inorganic UV blocker are provided herein, wherein said coating compositions are more resistant to discoloration when exposed to UV-C (190-280 nm) light compared to the coating compositions in the absence of the stabilizer composition. Thus, a method of stabilizing a coating composition against the deleterious effects of UV-C (190-280 nm) light includes adding to the coating composition an effective amount of such a stabilizer composition, wherein the coating composition is made more resistant to discoloration when exposed to UV-C (190-280 nm) light compared to the coating composition in the absence of the stabilizer composition. Coated articles can be made from the coating composition, and methods of making stabilized coating films include adding the stabilizer composition to the coating composition.

摘要： A wet process phosphoric acid production method comprises digesting phosphate- containing ore in a slurry comprising sulfuric acid, whereby phosphoric acid and calcium sulfate crystals are formed; and separating the phosphoric acid from the calcium sulfate crystals; wherein a defoamer and a poly(carboxylic acid), or salt thereof, having a weight- average molecular weight of less than 1,000,000 grams per mole (g/mol), are added to the slurry. The poly (carboxylic acid) can be a poly(acrylic acid), or salt thereof, and the defoamer can be a dialkyl sulfo succinate salt and an aliphatic alcohol or a fatty acid ester. The method enhances separation of phosphoric acid from calcium sulfate crystals in wet process phosphoric acid production by any one of increasing the volume average particle size of the calcium sulfate crystals, increasing filtration rate, and reducing foam formation.

摘要： Methods and systems for the flotation recovery of value materials from sulfide mineral sources are disclosed. The flotation recovery of the value materials is performed in a fluidized bed flotation cell utilizing collector materials that include at least one hydrocarbyl group and at least one functional group including sulfur on the hydrocarbyl group, and the hydrocarbyl group includes 2 or more aliphatic carbons and 6 or more total carbons. The methods and systems of the present disclosure advantageously allow for improved recovery of coarse-sized particles, which reduces time and energy expending during sample grinding stages. The methods and systems of the present disclosure also do not exhibit the detrimental frothing behaviors which can be associated with long-chain collectors typically having 6 or more carbon atoms. The systems and methods can be incorporated into existing processing systems to treat samples before or after conventional processing stages.

摘要： Processes for inhibiting scale produced during wet process phosphoric acid production by adding a scale-inhibiting amount of a reagent having a primary amine-containing polymer, or salt thereof, to one or more stages of a wet process phosphoric acid production stream are provided herein, wherein the primary amine-containing polymer includes an A mer according to Formula (I): where R is H, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, C 2 -C 6 alkenyl, halide, or carboxyl; R 1 is H, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, or C 2 -C 6 alkenyl; R 2 is H or an A mer according to Formula (I) as herein defined; R 3 is chosen from a direct bond or a C 1 -C 12 alkyl, C 2 -C 12 alkenyl, or a C 6 -C 12 aryl group; and n is an integer chosen to provide a weight average molecular weight of the primary amine-containing polymer of at least 300 Daltons, and wherein the percentage of primary amines in the polymer is from 30 mole % to 100 mole % based on the total percentage of mer units in the polymer.

The water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer can also be added simultaneously with or after mixing of the aqueous metal ion solution and the organic solution.
