    • A method (200) for configuring a cellular network comprising a plurality of network cells. The method comprises: - monitoring (205), during a monitoring time period, a performance indicator of each network cell for each one of a plurality of monitoring time intervals of said monitoring time period; - determining (205) a plurality of sets of measured signal levels, wherein each set of measured signal levels is associated with a respective territorial portion of a geographic area covered by the cellular network, and wherein each measured signal level of each set of measured signal levels is associated with a respective measured network cell, among the plurality of network cells, at least partially within that territorial portion, with a respective cell configuration of said measured network cell, and with a respective monitoring time interval; - determining (305), for each measured network cell, a simulated signal level being indicative of an expected signal level for that measured network cell in the respective cell configuration; - determining (310), for each measured network cell and for each monitoring time interval, a signal level deviation as a difference between the respective measured signal level and the respective simulated signal level; - for a reference network configuration (RNC1) including, for each measured network cell, a respective reference cell configuration taken by that measured network cell after the monitoring time period: (i) determining (315), for each measured network cell, a reference simulated signal level indicative of an expected signal level for that measured network cell in the reference cell configuration; (ii) updating (320), for each monitoring time interval, each measured signal level according to the respective simulated signal level and to the respective signal level deviation; (iii) determining (325-335), for each measured network cell and for each monitoring time interval, an estimated performance indicator based on the respective performance indicator, on a number of sets of measured signal levels having at least one measured signal level associated with said measured network cell, and on the respective updated measured signal level, and - configuring (215-245) the cellular network according to the estimated performance indicators determined for the measured network cells.

    • A method, implemented by a data processing system (100), for estimating presence of individuals on a territory based on data derived from a mobile communication network (105) comprising a plurality of network cells (105b) covering said territory, wherein said individuals are users of mobile communication terminals configured to be adapted to interact with the mobile communication network and located in said territory. The method comprises: subdividing a geographic area of interest (300) in geographic zones (z1 – z9); subdividing the geographic area of interest (300) in geographic area portions (605); causing mobile communication terminals served by the mobile communication network and situated in the geographic area of interest to calculate respective geographic position estimates and provide the calculated geographic position estimates (700) to the data processing system;- distributing an overall number of geographic position estimates, received from the mobile communication terminals, on the geographic area portions by assigning to each geographic area portion a respective number of geographic position estimates corresponding to geographic positions estimates falling within said geographic area portion. For each network cell: determining, among the geographic area portions (605), covered geographic area portions falling within a coverage area of the cell; assigning to each one of the determined covered geographic area portions a respective weight which depends on the respective number of geographic position estimates compared to an overall number of geographic position estimates falling within all the determined covered geographic area portions; generating a correspondence map, establishing a correspondence between the cells and the geographic zones, by, for each of said network cells, calculating a cell weight of the network cell on each geographic zone by determining the geographic area portions belonging to each of the zones and summing the respective weights of the geographic area portions identified as belonging to the zones; receiving from the mobile communication network and storing in a repository (115) indications of events of interaction between the mobile communication terminals and the network cells of the mobile communication network; identifying, for each one of the stored indications of events of interaction, the network cell in which the event of interaction occurred; using the correspondence map, building an array of presences (400; 4001 – 400M) in which each geographic zone has assigned thereto a respective indication of a respective number of events of interaction occurred in the identified network cells which have, in the geographic zone, a cell weight greater than a predetermined cell weight value, and providing the array of presences in output for the use, by a user of the data processing system, for estimating presence of individuals on a territory.

    • The present invention relates to a method (300A; 300B; 300C) for exchanging a digital content between a communication system (100) and a connectable device (UD) connected thereto. The communication system (100) comprises a first base station (120) configured to exchange the digital content over wireless communication links in a first frequency band, the frequencies of the first frequency band being higher than or equal to 6 GHz. The communication system (100) comprises a second base station (115) configured to exchange the digital content over wireless communication links in a second frequency band, the frequencies of the second frequency band being lower than 6 GHz. The method comprises: (i) determining (310) a position of the connectable device (UD); (ii) causing (325, 330, 335) the connectable device (UD) and the first base station (120) to attempt to establish a wireless communication link in the first frequency band therebetween; (iii) if (330) the wireless communication link in the first frequency band has been successfully established, causing (345) the first base station (120) to exchange the digital content with the connectable device (UD) through the established wireless communication link in the first frequency band; (iv) prompting (350, 355) a user of the connectable device (UD) to change the position of the connectable device (UD), if no wireless communication link in the first frequency band has been successfully established, and (v) after step (iv), performing steps (ii) and (iii).
