    • PURPOSE: To provide a clamp element which is light in weight and can be easily cleaned by constituting the clamp element of a clamping tongue, a presser as a fork member and a securing part. CONSTITUTION: In a weft yarn clamp for using as a warp yarn picking element in a rapier loom, as the clamp element, slots 7a, 7b in which maximum slot length of the clamping tongue is oriented from a fork base 5 of a base end section in a direction of the arch-shaped presser 3 and the fork base 5, are formed and the fork-shaped member in which two arms of a fixed section 4, where an elastic flexible region 6 having a cross section smaller than the presser 3 is arranged between the slots 7a, 7b and the fork base 5, are stretched, are formed. Further a second clamp element 13 of passive rigidity limiting a nip for the clamp in cooperation with the clamp tongue 2 is attached to a rapier casing 10 with freely attaching/detaching and position-adjustably, and preliminarily the clamp tongue 2 is made to be engaged to the second clamp element 13 in a pressurized state. In such a manner, an optimum clamp for both a rapier giver and a rapier taker is constituted.

    • PURPOSE: To enable the selective execution of a catalyst reaction with high efficiency by lessening pressure drop and sufficiently executing mixing in a radial direction, thereby obtaining a uniformly concn. and temp. profile, satisfac torily removing heat and decreasing peak temps. CONSTITUTION: A reactor wall 2 is made heat-conductive and a catalyst member 7 is divided to at least two continuous stages 11 and 12. The orientations within two physical planes (Z and X) and (Z and Y) are set at the stages different from each other. The respective stages have flow-guiding members 16 demarcating partial flow pipelines and these partial flow pipelines contain the catalyst. In addition the stages are aligned to two directions having an angle of inclination W of at least 10 deg. with a main flow direction Z in such a manner that the two partial flows 21a, 21b varying in the flow direction are formed. A partially opened flow-crossing position 25 is generated between these partial flows 21a and 21b and a displacement factor H/HO is at least halved (H is the height of the stages 11 and 12, HO=D, ctgW, D is the diameter or width of the member 7).
