摘要： A segmented pallet comprises a plurality of stringers or rails 1 affixed to beams or webs 2 via fastenings, which may be quarter turn keys or plugs 3. The number of the stringers Fig 5, 1 and beams Fig 6, 2 may be varied as may be the relative position of the stringers to the beams to suit the size of the item being supported. The components may be made from plastic. If sections of the pallet are damaged or broken they may be replaced or the entire pallet may be recycled. The pallet may be flat packed, knock down or disassembled after use to allow ease of transportation.

摘要： A body protection panel has an enclosing covering 13 of a natural or synthetic textile material and an enclosed sheet 9 of a high density, high impact absorption, foam material. To make sheet 9 flexible, segments 11 are formed by cutting part way through the foam material (e.g. to a depth >50% of the overall depth of the sheet), for example, by means of a hot knife, creating flexible hinge lines 12. As shown, outer covering material 13 extends beyond the edges of sheet 9 and the outer and inner covering layers 13 are stitched together to hold the panel securely in place.

摘要： A support plate unit comprises a pair of extension plates (1) interlinked by a connecting plate (2) by means of pivot pins (3). The extent of rotation of each extension plate (1) with respect to the connecting plate (2) is limited by means of respective pins (4) sliding within slots (5) in the connecting plates (1). Edges of the extension plates abut in the fully extended condition such that the extension plates extend longitudinally away from one another at an angle less than 180 DEG with respect to the inside edge (6) of the unit. This prevents over extension of the joint with which the support unit is associated. However, the joint can be bent as fully as necessary in the other direction. The pin and slot configurations (4 and 5) ensure that, during an intermediate flexing of the unit, neither of the extension plates can rotate so far with respect to the connecting plate (2) as to cause parts of the plates to project in a dangerous manner.
