    • The system (10) comprises: a support (12) to be mounted on the frame (F) of a recovery vehicle (V); a movable body (14) oscillatable with respect to the support (12) between a plurality of angular positions; a fork (36) associated with the body (14) and arranged for lifting the wheels of a broken-down vehicle; and an actuator (44) hinged, on one side, to the support (12) and, on the other side, to the body (14), and configured to be arranged between an extended state and a retracted state. The system (10) is able to be brought into: an upright arrangement in which the body (14) is substantially erect and above the support (12) and in which the actuator (44) is extended; and a lowered arrangement in which the body (14) is substantially situated below the support (12) and in which the actuator (44) is retracted.

    • The invention relates to a breakdown and recovery equipment (10) for rescuing broken-down vehicles (V) intended to be mounted on a breakdown vehicle (1). The equipment (10) comprises: a support structure (12, 14, 16, 18) intended to be attached to the chassis (2) of the breakdown vehicle (1); a movable element (34) displaceable with respect to the support structure (12, 14, 16, 18) between a raised position and a lowered position; a towing member (38) suitable for carrying a broken-down vehicle (V), locked translationally with the movable element (34) and swingable thereto between an angularly tilted-out position and an angularly withdrawn position; and an actuator device (36) associated to the movable element (34) and arranged to control the motion thereof. The support structure (12, 14, 16, 18) has a guide device (46), and the towing member (38) has a corresponding guided portion (48) cooperating with the guide device (46) in such a manner to impart a controlled swinging movement to the towing member (38) with respect to the movable element (34) during a section of the path to be travelled by the movable element (34) between the lowered position and the raised position.
