    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding apparatus of a type having a manifold melt channel communicating with a plurality of hot runner nozzles, which keeps a melt redistribution element disposed in a manifold and is capable of uniformizing an uneven shear pressure generated while a melt flows along the manifold melt channel. SOLUTION: A melt redistribution element 252 used for the injection molding apparatus comprises a helical melt passage portion in a manifold 212, wherein a pressure of a melt inflowed is increased at the inlet of a tapered part of the melt redistribution element 252, the melt flows at a high speed in the cross-sectional center portion of a resin passage, the melt flows in the helical melt passage in the cross-sectional outside portion of the resin passage, a flowing direction of the melt is changed many times and the melt is partially mixed with the melt flowing in the cross-sectional center portion of the resin passage, whereby the performance of a shear pressure are uniformized more at the outlet of the melt redistribution element than at the inlet thereof.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding system having a self-regulating valve for balancing melt flow. SOLUTION: The self-regulating valve includes a control rod configurated to balance through a hot runner system. The self-regulating valve reacts to an injection or melt pressure within the hot runner system and a pre-set force provided by an external force device. The self-regulating valve is an open-loop system as it requires neither a measurement of pressure by a sensor nor feedback from a processor in order to regulate the melt flow. The self-regulating valve mechanically reacts to changes in melt pressure on control surfaces thereof by "bobbing" upwards/downwards to decrease/increase the melt flow accordingly. The self-regulating valve compensates for conditions that affect melt pressure, such as an increase/decrease in melt viscosity, changes in melt temperature, and/or mold cavity size without the use of a processing device.
