    • A structural framework system for the construction of exhibition display stands and the like makes use of a beam extrusion (1) having dovetail shaped edge formations (5) which enable panel frame extrusions (6) to be hung therefrom and locked in position by virtue of the panel frame extrusions (6) incorporating a locking element (15) which can be retracted into a recess (13) in the frame (6) for initial location of the frame (6) relative to the beam (1) and can then be moved to project from the recess (13) and to clamp to the beam dovetail (5) by insertion of actuating pins (20) into bores (16) provided in the frame (6) and communicating with the recess (13). A beam end fitting (32) enables a beam (1) to be secured to a transversely-extending second beam (1) by a similar process and a 4-way crown fitting (45) enables nodes to be formed at the intersection of plural orthogonal beams. A means (Fig. 5) is also disclosed for leg length adjustment and additionally disclosed is a system (Figs. 6-9) enabling attachment of a fabric roof (92) to a frame work structure by virtue of a "foot" (90) secured along the fabric edge being received in a "shoe" (80) provided in the framework.
