    • A filling valve for a pressurized fluid container, including a tube with a longitudinal bore (42) and a side port (47) formed therein, a piston (48) slidingly disposed in the tube (42), the piston (48) being formed with a bore (49) therethrough, a valve lever (68) pivotally attached to a portion (66) of the tube, the piston (48) including a jutting portion (58) which protrudes in a direction generally away from a bottom portion of the tube (42), a float arm (74) attached to the valve lever (68), and a float (72) mounted on the float arm (74), wherein when the float (74) is positioned at a generally obtuse angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the tube (42), the jutting portion (58) of the piston (48) is raised and supported by the valve lever (68), such that the piston (48) is raised and does not block the side port (47), thereby permitting fluid flow through the side port (47), and wherein when the float (72) is sufficiently buoyed by a fluid, the float arm (74) swings upwards and the jutting portion (58) of the piston (48) is no longer supported by the valve lever (68) and the piston (48) moves downwards and blocks the side port (47), thereby preventing fluid flow through the side port (47).
