摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detecting a drilling state by detecting pressure decreasing caused by the drilling state provided by drilling force in a shield. SOLUTION: Preferably, abrasive grains is provided from a selective vibration feeder 20 and high pressure water is provided from a water source to a nozzle assembling body 10, which consists of an orifice 12 and a converging pipe 14 hitting a mixture of the high pressure water and the abrasive grains to a moving workpiece 16. Other type of feeding device can be used for the purpose using the vibration feeder 20. A control device 30 controlling movement of the assembly 10 and the workpiece 16 with an input on operating condition of an abrasive grain water jet (AWJ) device, is installed. A nozzle shield 15 is connected to communicate by fluid with an air or other gas supply sources 40 through a conduct pipe 41. A pressure detector 42, which is connected to the conduct pipe 41, is placed between the shield 15 and an air supply source, and pressure condition in the shield 15 is detected, and then pressure signal 43 is provided to the control device 30.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a self-cleaning feed apparatus where the defect of a conventional apparatus is removed by enabling clumps to be cleared in operation. CONSTITUTION: This self-cleaning feed apparatus is equipped with a slender chamber 9 having a slice outlet for imparting the regulated flow of fibrous feedstock slurry virtually free from clumps of fiber and a means installed at the inlet port of the slice outlet and controlling the flow of the feedstock in a range from the minimum quantity of flow to the maximum one. When located at a first position, the controlling means forms a throat part permitting a preferred quantity of the feedstock to flow. When located at a second position, the means shuts the flow passing through the outlet and facilitates the flow passing through the chamber 9 along its length to clear the clumps of fiber in the chamber. The means comprises a rotatable half round aperture bar slice 3A which can rotate in a range from a partially open position to a completely open position or a completely shut position where the clumps are broken down. In this way, it is possible to set the outlet velocity to a desired level so as for the formation of a mat to be optimized and also to prevent crumps from being formed.

The rotary spool 10 has plural pinion teeth in an outer circumference roughly at a middle part of it, and rack teeth of a normal direction pushbutton 30 and a reverse direction pushbutton 25 are engaged with these to control its rotation.

When the coupling 11 is separated, rotational drawing out opposit to the above-stated is executed. In this way, at fitting and detaching the coupling, liquid can be prevented from leaking.
