摘要： An intake and exhaust system for an I.C. engine includes integrated intake manifolds(14), one for connection with a main combustion chamber(2) and the other for connection with an auxiliary combustion chamber(1), and an exhaust manifold(15) for connection with the main combustion chambers(2). The exhaust manifold includes a stainless steel liner(44) enveloped within and spaced from a metal casting in order to retain the heat of the exhaust gases so that the exhaust gas temp. remains at or above the temp. at which the unburned hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases will continue to burn. This temp. also promotes oxidation of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide.
