    • Systems, methods, and devices for recording, sharing, and storing an audio segment are provided. A user's audio segment is recorded by a recording device, in response to an audible prompt generated by the recording device. In some embodiments, the recording device provides a signal to the user that a recording session is in progress. Having recorded the audio segment, the recording device provides a reply to the user's recording, simulating a conversation between the recording device and the user. In embodiments, the recording device transfers the recorded audio to a sharing device for subsequent playback. Further, the recorded audio segment may be transferred to a storage device, for storage and retrieval of the audio segment at a later date. The components of the recording device may be housed inside a commercial embodiment, such as a stuffed toy, for concealed recording of the user's audio segment.

    • Systems, methods, and devices are provided for assembling a story, which then may be played for a user, such as a child. In particular, an embodiment of the invention is directed to an audio or audio-visual story-telling system with functionality for seamlessly creating an entertaining, "customized" audio (or audio-visual) story for a user, using a variety of subject matter chosen by the user. In some embodiments, the system, which may be embodied as a child's toy, allows the user, such as a child, to select the subjects, themes, or other attributes of a story by arranging visual cues with images (including video or animated images) thereon to make up the parts of the story. Once selected or arranged, the user pushes play and the toy reads or plays a custom story to the user that includes their selected subjects and themes, in an embodiment.

    • A die changer registration system of the present invention includes a die (300) having a holes (310) and beveled edges (330) and a die changer (202) having trigger levers (240), trigger clamps (250), and a die receiving surface including pins (230) into the die holes (310) extending therefrom. The die is registered on the die changer (202) by fitting the pins (230) into the die holes (310). Trigger levers (240) are used to register and release the die (300) from the die changer (202). Further, trigger clamps (205) are used to hold the die (300) within the die changer (202) using the beveled edges (330). In this manner, the die changer (202) can be used to automatically registers and changes dies without requiring "make-ready" operations. (Figure 1).
